I’ll resist telling you my life story, but I thought it was probably worth mentioning a few things about me.
You have clicked on ‘about me’ after all…

Firstly, I’m passionate about both marketing and great writing. My background and training was in journalism (both news and features), however for the greater part of my career I have worked in PR and marketing. What I love is working with individuals or teams who want to either communicate a message or tell people (perhaps the whole world) about their product or service – taking them right from the beginning to where they need to be.

That may be via traditional PR work, or it could be via social media, email marketing, or a website – hopefully it will be via all of these things in a mixed marketing strategy.

I took a small career de-tour into managing and growing a large wedding catering business for a short time, which draws on my skills and expertise in both the food and drink sector and events industry.

More recently I have worked in marketing roles for a range of businesses and the education sector. I have also taken on several major contract roles running strategic communications campaigns for local authorities and not-for-profit organisations.

And what about me? I’m a friendly, personable, honest person. I’m not full of marketing jargon and hot air, I give quality, expert advice. Take a look at some of my testimonials to see how clients feel I fit with their business.

As an aside… I have an obsession with food and vegetable gardening and I live on the outskirts of Stroud with my husband, a chef, and our mischievous young daughter.

I have worked with Claire on a number of projects in the past, including this website. What I always take away from a meeting with Claire is a sense of positivity, optimism and excitement for our project. Claire is approachable, creative and demonstrates her vast knowledge of PR and marketing. I look forward to working with Claire again in the future and could not recommend her enough.

Claire has completed PR work for me this year, including promoting funky diva sewing school courses, as well as my recent win on Theo Paphitis Small Business Sunday. She is very professional in her approach to putting together press releases and marketing ideas. Claire is very proactive with ideas to promote and market my business, contacting me regularly with up dates on press releases, as well as new ideas for marketing avenues. Overall Claire provides a brilliant service for small businesses to promote their presence in local and national media

  • Claire is terrific. I regularly recommend her to potential clients as I know they'll get a no-nonsense and honest approach. She worked with me on some pretty high-profile projects. Good marketing people need to have great instincts and see things from the customers' perspective, and they also need to be able to influence decision makers. Claire has all of these qualities and more. She is personable, focused and fun to work with.

KAM MISTRY, MARKETING AND PR MANAGER, CAMPDEN BRI
  • Claire's contribution to the work we do at Elephant Creative can't be underestimated. Whether managing blogging, social media and PR for lawyers, or working on education-focused campaigns for the education sector, Claire's expertise is formidable. What sets her apart, however, is her 'can-do' approach. There are plenty of 'experts' in the marketing and PR world but, in my experience, finding one that combines market-leading expertise with being a nice person is very rare.

HELEN HAMMOND, MANAGING DIRECTOR, ELEPHANT CREATIVE
  • The council was very pleased with the consultancy provided. Claire fully understood the service, its impacts on key stakeholders and the pressures that were placed on ensuring the service was designed and communicated well. Claire’s impact was telling as the council received only positive comments on the level and quality of the council’s communications
